Report a lost animal

If you have lost a pet, please visit your local animal care and control shelter or rescue DAILY. You know what your pet looks like better than a shelter worker working with a description. Be sure to also check our found pet database daily. Keep in mind, you may want to search under broad functions (different colors, breeds, etc) as the finder of your "tan" pet may input the pet as "yellow" or "brown".

By submitting this form you agree to receive e-mails from PETS 911 regarding the status of your posting and other information that may be necessary for communication.

Pets 911 wants to make sure you know that some pets are microchipped, which means the owners information can be easily found by "scanning" the pet for the imbedded chip.

To have the animal scanned simply visit your local veterinary office or animal shelter. Both will most likely scan the dog for free. It would be good to call ahead to make sure they are able to scan stray animals.

If you are unsure about who your local shelters are, simply visit the shelters/rescues section of this site for a listing and phone number of those in your area.
