LOCAL HELP

THE ISSUE

This section provides detailed instructions and videos on how to become involved with feral cat issues and how to implement programs, such as Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), to help improve the lives of permanently stray and feral cats. If you have found a stray cat that you believe to have been domesticated (owned at one point or another), please visit the PETS 911 Found Pet Section to enter the cat.

The feline overpopulation crisis in the United States has resulted in millions of cats living outdoors. Some of these cats are stray - at one time domestic and comfortable around people and others are feral - never in a domestic situation and fearful of humans.

If you have found a cat or a group of cats (a colony), and want to improve their lives, you have come to the right site. Alley Cat Allies has provided expert instructions plus a listing of local contacts that will be able to further assist you in your area (if available).
