As a public service, it is important for PETS911 to keep an open communication with those utilizing this resource. Therefore, we encourage your input, feedback, questions and comments.

Please note that PETS911 is not a shelter. We work closely with national and local pet welfare organizations to provide you with resources to assist in adoption, lost-and-found, and a host of other services through our Web site PETS911.com and our toll-free hotline (1-888-PETS911). The animal welfare partners listed on our system provide services that can assist you with your specific needs.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE E-MAILING

Are you looking to find another home for your animal? If your current life situation changes, i.e. moving, allergies, too many other animals, etc., then please do not e-mail us directly, but rather review the information contained under our Local Animal Shelter section to locate a group in your local area who can assist you.

Are you looking to adopt a specific type or breed of animal? Please check our Web site's Pet Adoption section for the rescue groups or shelters nearest you. Many shelters have specific breeds of animals that are up for adoption. Please call the individual rescue shelters or groups to see which animal breeds they currently have available.

Other specific situations or information i.e. emergency, spay and neuter, etc. can be handled best by checking out your local resources listed on the PETS911 Web site and directing your questions to the group or agency nearest you.
