Name:
Ann
Breed:
Terrier / Hound
Age:
Young Adult
Color/Gender:
White and Brown, Female
Description:
Ann is a medium-sized (about 35 lbs) Terrier/maybe hound mix? She is fairly young, about a year and a half old.
Ann is very smart and knows sit, wait, hush, and down, and is a wonderful car rider. She would likely be a GREAT agility dog with some consistent training because she LOVES to jump and she has lots of energy to burn. She would do best in a home where she is able to run and is exercised regularly. Ann will sit and wait while her meals are prepared. She is great with cats and kids, and absolutely loves any attention she can get from people. She is a loving girl and deserves to find her forever home. She should be the only dog or be placed with a very submissive dog, because she is very dominant, especially toward females.
It would be best if she did not have to be crated at all when left alone or only crated for short periods of time. All in all, she needs some consistent training and work and she'll be great.
Ann's adoption fee is $200, which includes all vetting (spay/neuter, all vaccinations including rabies, heartworm test & started on prevention), started on flea/tick prevention, microchip and a leash & collar. If you are interested in meeting Ann, or even fostering her until she finds her permanent home, please begin by filling out the online application that applies at www.stopthesuffering.org

Description:
Hi-- I'm Mia!! I am an 8yr. old long haired Chihuahua. I need to find a new home because my owner is not able to spend the time with me that I need anymore.
I am a very sociable girl-- I love adults, but would prefer a home with older children, since I am not used to little ones and they make me a little nervous.
I love to lay on a nice comfortable lap but I can also be jittery. I love lots!!!! of attention. I get along with cats and most dogs. I also like short walks and enjoy play time on the floor. I do have minor allergies that are controlled with medication and a strict diet. I am house and crate-trained, and am really a good girl! I could really use a foster home, so please contact us ASAP if you're interested!
If you are interested in taking me home, please fill-out an online application at www.stopthesuffering.org. My adoption fee is $250, which includes all of my necessary vetting, such as vet exam, vaccinations, spay, heartworm test and one month preventive, fecal exam, and flea preventive.

Description:
Meet Chupa! She is about 2 years old. She is a beautiful English Fox Terrier, Poodle, Cairn Terrier, and AM Staffy mix. Im serious! We did a DNA test. She has the shape of a tootsie roll. She is house trained and crate trained. She loves to sit pretty for you. Her favorite activities include sleeping in the bed with you, chasing her foster brothers around, tanning in the backyard sun, and chewing on all her toys. She loves chew toys! She should probably only be placed with larger dogs as the smaller ones seem to annoy her a bit. She has sensitive skin so she needs to be fed a higher quality dog food. It is $35 for a 40 pound bag which last her a good while. She is up to date on all her vaccinations, spayed, and continues her monthly heartworm preventive and flea preventative. Her adoption fee is $250. Please fill out an adoption application at stopthesuffering.org if you are interested!

Name:
Ginger
Breed:
American Staffordshire Terrier / Boxer
Age:
Adult
Color/Gender:
Black and Brown, Female
Description:
Ginger was pulled from a very rural shelter with a 97% euthanization rate due to overcrowding and owners not being responsible. Daisy was a Hurricane Katrina survivor whose family adopted her in North Carolina. When the family moved to Ohio they felt that they had too much going on to worry about a dog. Ginger did not make this far to die in a shelter alone and cold. Ginger is great with people of all ages and loves attention, however, she would prefer to be an only dog. She is also not very fond of cats and would prefer a home without them.
She has been spayed and brought up to date on her shots including her rabies, heartworm test, and a fecal. For more information about this survivor or to foster or adopt her please email Lindsey at lindseymay01@gmail.com

UPDATE: "Hi - I am Minnie. I am about 10 months old and weigh about 45 lbs. I was spayed on 12/7/2008 and sure would love a foster home to recover in. I would love a forever home too. I am new to the program so the nice people in the program don't know alot about me yet but I seem really nice with other dogs and seem to ignore cats. I am very calm and can stay in a crate without getting antsy....Please consider fostering or adopting me!!!
