MISSION: Secaucus Animal Shelter's mission is to promote and protect the health, safety, and welfare of animals and people in Secaucus. We do this by celebrating the relationships between people and animals. We develop programs that help foster the positive aspects of our connection to animals and prevent the negative aspects such as neglect and abuse. We promote our role as rescuer and ask the community to join us in our quest to create a community where no animal ever suffers due to abuse, neglect or ignorance and every pet born will be assured of a good home and care during its natural life.

Secaucus Animal Shelter operates a full service animal welfare organization that offers the community valuable programs and services such as:

• Secaucus Animal Shelter caring for lost and homeless animals.
• Field services that rescue injured and lost animals in the community.
• Field services that relocate non-domestic animals away from town.
• Adoption programs that place shelter animals into loving homes.
• Educational programs for schools and the community.
• Liaison with Secaucus Police Department and Secaucus Department of Public Works.
