Volunteers can assist with dog walking, fundraising, cleaning cages and general shelter area, grooming of animals, playing with kittens and cats, feeding, promotional activities, and pet adoptions. Donation: We rely on donations to take care of the animals entrusted to us. We also have a wish list that includes paper towels, dry cat and dog food, kitty litter, garbage bags, blankets, toys, and treats. If you would like to donate any of the products on our wish list or posters to place around town promoting the shelter and animals, please drop by our facility. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please call us. Fostering: Foster homes are always appreciated and help in saving lives. Please call us to learn about our current foster needs and our program guidelines. Service Information for Dogs Adoption: The adoption donation for a dog is $60 and includes the spay or neuter of the animal, all shots, blood work, and a veterinary examination. Accepts Stray Animals: Our facility accepts stray animals from the public. Please call the Animal Control Officer in advance to make arrangements. Do not leave any animal at our facility, unsupervised. Animal Cruelty: Please report any instance of animal cruelty to Secaucus Police Department, 201-330-2060. They will dispatch a patrol officer and contact our Animal Control Officer on duty immediately. Service Information for Cats Adoption: The adoption donation for a cat is $30 and includes the spay or neuter of the animal, all shots, blood work, and a veterinary examination. In the case of kittens which are too young to be spayed or neutered, you will receive a certificate entitling you to a discount on the procedure from participating area veterinarians.
