All volunteers must be at least 15 years old and complete an orientation session. Orientations are held the second Saturday and third Wednesday of each month. Visit www.hsecarolina.org for dates and times. Donation: As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations and adoption fees to take care of the animals entrusted to us. We also have a wish list that includes paper towels, wet cat/kitten and wet dog/puppy food, kitty litter, garbage bags, and Clorox. If you would like to donate any of these products on our wish list, please drop by the local grocery stores and place the items in our collection boxes or stop by our shelter. Accepts Stray Animals: Our facility accepts stray animals from the public based on available space. Animals must be brought to HSEC to be assessed prior to considering the animal for intake.
