Volunteer duties include grant writers, administrative assistants, adoption outreach, animal care assistants, animal care exercisers, satellite adoptions, special events assistants, and pet therapy. Please call us for further information regarding volunteering. Donation: Donations are gratefully accepted! Monetary donations may be mailed to us. The following are items that the Shelter can never get enough of: litter boxes, dog and cat food, flea and tick combs, and towels, to name a few. Please call us for a complete wish list. Membership: Animal Shelter and Adoption Center of Galveston is open to public membership. We have several levels of membership available. Service Information for Dogs Spay and Neuter (Low cost discount offered): We offer spay or neuter assistance, please contact us for more details. Adoption: The adoption fee for a dog is $65. The fee includes vaccinations, rabies vaccine, worming, spay or neuter, and an adoption kit when available. Accepts Stray Animals: Our facility accepts stray animals from within city limits only. Animal Cruelty: To report possible cruelty to animals, please call our facility. Pet Education: We offer humane education programs. Please call for details.
