HIRAM PETSMART ADOPTION CENTER 4794 Jimmy Lee Smith Pkwy Hiram, GA 30127 (770) 694-6275 Volunteer: APSR seeks volunteers in a variety of positions including but not limited to administration, event coordination, fostering, fundraising, general shelter cleaning, phone bank, newsletter production, and volunteer, foster, and transport coordination. Volunteers must be good with cats, dedicated to our cause, and, depending on the area of interest, possess excellent writing and computer skills. Please contact us to complete a Volunteer and/or Foster Application. Donation: Atlanta Persian & Siamese Rescue needs your help! Our veterinary expenses still continue to be our #1 expense and because we receive absolutely NO funding whatsoever, we have to pay for all of this solely by donations and adoption fees. Currently, an average of 10 cats per week are taken to our veterinarians for spays and neuters, FeLV/FIV testing, rabies vaccinations, and general exams. The expense is draining our resources and that's why we must ask for help! Our biggest need is for monetary donations to help pay for our veterinary expenses. Our next biggest need is CANNED FOOD. We go through 20 cans of Friskies cat food per DAY (or 10 large cans). The reason why we must feed canned food daily is because all the shelter cats receive vitamins and nutritional supplements, which must be mixed in canned food or they will not eat it. This regimen has optimized the health of our kitties and we'd like to continue it indefinitely. We prefer IAMS or FRISKIES brand.
We are also in need of "Iams", "Purina One", or "Purina Pro Plan" dry cat food, flea shampoo, Advantage or Frontline flea control, paper towels, inexpensive clay cat litter, old towels, bath mats, large garbage bags, spray cleaner with bleach, cat toys, treats, etc. Service Information for Cats Adoption: We hold adoptions 7 days/week at our Adoption Center located inside Hiram Petsmart. Our adoption hours are Monday - Friday from 9am - 8pm, Saturday 9am - 5pm and Sunday from 10am - 5pm. Remember -- "Saving one pet won't change the world but it will surely change the world for that one pet." If you can find it in your heart to come and adopt just one needy pet, you will be saving TWO lives: the life of the pet you adopt plus the one who will be rescued in its place!
