PROFESSOR MCGONAGLE HAS RETURNED HOME
I am VERY happy to report that she showed up on my front porch stoop today!!! My other cats were standing up at the windows, intentionally looking out, and I thought, could it Professor out there? And, lo’ and behold, there she was, eating the food I had set out. I opened the door, called her name and in she ran. She was sooo hungry. I gave her food and held her all afternoon.
Professor’s barely left my side, purring, kneading, sleeping contently (usually, she stays in my lap for just a few minutes).
No cuts, scrapes, broken or sprained limbs, just skinny (poor thing, her sides are sunken in and I can feel her ribs). Now, it’s off to the vet with her, for a full check-up (and a microchip)!
Thank you everyone for your help and keeping an eye out for her. I really appreciate the community’s outpouring, emails, phone calls and support, especially the advice, “don’t give up!”
A good ending for the day–especially since it’s raining now!
