Marcia Schafer Board Member |
|---|
|
Marcia discovered the inside world of animal awareness when pets began to share their stories
during her work with their owners. An international speaker and award winning author, Schafer
is an MBA consultant with an uncanny intuitive talent that she brings into her work as an
advisor to entrepreneurs and business leaders. Acknowledging the special communication that
exists with animals is just one facet of bringing people into the rich vista of the unseen
world and how it influences us. She now insists clients include their pets in sessions
whenever possible, since the animals often contribute rich insight into the personal
side of their owners.
Founder of Beyond Zebra, Schafer is working to change society's perception of all living creatures so they will gain the international life rights and legal protection they deserve. Her goal is to have intuitive animal communicators become a common resource to bring about healthy adoptions and reduce shelter recidivism from behavioral issues. Currently, she has an animal advocacy division within her company and has begun a nationwide network of intuitive animal communicators that can be found on beyondzebra.com. |

| Linda Francis Board Member |
|---|
As a young girl, Linda Francis, a new addition to the Pets 911 Board, made friend with animal. There are countless photos of Linda with ducks and pigs; on horseback; training dogs; rescuing cats...and a baby robin who had fallen from its nest. Though she probably should have been a veterinarian, Linda spent the majority of her career in the media, first as a copy writer for a local Phoenix radio station (Bari Mears worked there too), then as an account executive with CBS, and on to Metromedia Radio. After twelve years tenure with the advertising agency BBDO in New York, Linda spent time in Miami at NBC as the Director of Marketing. While living in California, Linda was instrumental, along with the 40 other volunteers at the Orange County Humane Society, to see major change in the way animals are cared for by the owner of the shelter. Now back in Phoenix, Linda serves as the Marketing Manager for Henry's Farmers Markets, and is following her passion to help animals through spay/neuter programs, alternative healing, and good quality food. |
